The roomy kitchen (14' by 10') has plenty of space for a small table and chairs under the windows. Lighting is a low voltage halogen wire system on a dimmer and there are also under-cabinet halogen task lights. The floors are paint fir.

The main wall of cabinets new as of 2003. Large full-extension drawers are deep enough to swallow your biggest pots and pans. The glass front upper cabinets are 39" high. We even thought to install a microwave cabinet. The double sink has integrated drainboard and pull-out sprayer faucet. The gas range, fridge (with ice-maker and chilled water dispenser), dishwasher and garbage disposal were new in 2003. The countertops are beech butcher block. Also included: a freestanding butcher block between the fridge and range, steel storage shelves and a cookbook shelf.

The original built-in sideboard and pantry cabinets have new polished-nickel hardware, fresh paint and butcher block countertop. The sideboard has the original tip-out grain bins, perfect for your recycling or sacks of pet food. The pantry cabinet over the range is 2' deep and almost runs to the ceiling (did they have Costco in 1911?).
