Confession first: that's a faux fireplace, (although it does look very cheery with candles in it). The living room looks out into a crepe myrtle tree that puts on a gaudy fuscia show every August. The entire apartment is chock full of windows... 25 of them, actually. It glows with a really wonderful, soft light.
