Behind the old oak and glass door, the entry hall is the beginning of the grand, open living spaces of the apartment. This is a 1907 Craftsman in all its glory, over 9' ceilings and oak floors flow through to the living and dining rooms. The original door and window trim is milled with a beautiful curve, a detail I've never seen anyplace else. Throughout the period woodwork is a highlight: crown moulding, picture-hanger moulding, wide baseboards and Craftsman basecap, all painted crisp white. The hall light is on dimmer. |
